Getting started
Which iPhones does GeoStamp support?
GeoStamp runs on iPhone with iOS 17 or later. Weather and the barometer reading need an iPhone with those sensors and services available.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no login. Open the app and start taking photos.
Is it a subscription?
No. GeoStamp is a one-time purchase on the App Store. There are no subscriptions and no ads.
Location & stamp
The stamp shows no address or location
Check that location is allowed: Settings → GeoStamp → Location → While Using the App, and turn on Precise Location. Also make sure Location Services is on in Settings → Privacy & Security. Indoors, step near a window or outside for a better GPS fix.
The address is slightly wrong
Addresses come from Apple Maps based on your GPS position, which can be off by a few metres, especially in dense cities or indoors. Wait a few seconds for the accuracy to improve, or set a custom location for that shot.
The map or weather is missing
The mini map, address lookup and weather need an internet connection. Offline, GeoStamp keeps the last result if you haven't moved far; otherwise it leaves that part out rather than showing wrong data.
Can I change what the stamp shows?
Yes. Open Templates to pick a layout and turn individual fields (address, coordinates, time zone, map, weather and more) on or off.
My landscape photo is sideways
GeoStamp reads the phone's motion sensor so photos save upright even with Portrait Orientation Lock on. If one still comes out wrong, please send us the iPhone model and iOS version through the form below.
Photos & storage
My photos aren't in the Photos app
Allow saving: Settings → GeoStamp → Photos → Add Photos Only. Photos are always kept in the app's Collection too, so you can save them again from there.
Will deleting the app delete my photos?
Deleting GeoStamp removes its in-app Collection. Photos already saved to your photo library stay there. Make sure important photos are in the Photos app (or iCloud Photos) before deleting.
How do I share a photo without the location?
The stamp is part of the image. To also strip GPS metadata, tap Options at the top of the iOS share sheet and turn off Location.
Purchase & privacy
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
I got a new iPhone. Do I pay again?
No. Sign in with the same Apple Account and download GeoStamp again from the App Store for free.
Do you see my photos or location?
No. Everything stays on your iPhone. Location is only sent to Apple to look up the address, map and weather. Read the full Privacy Policy.
