These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the AnyDoc iOS app (the "App") published by DevAppStudio ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Apple's Standard EULA
The App is licensed, not sold, to you through the Apple App Store. Your use is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Standard EULA") and the App Store Terms of Service. If these Terms conflict with the Standard EULA, the Standard EULA applies to the extent of the conflict.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, as allowed by the App Store's Usage Rules. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, rent, sell or redistribute the App, except where the law or an open-source license expressly allows it.
3. Ads and in-app purchases
The App is free to download and is supported by ads served by Google AdMob. We don't control the content of individual ads and are not responsible for advertisers' products, services or websites. Tapping an ad may open another app or website, which has its own terms. How ad data is handled, and how to change your tracking and consent choices, is explained in our Privacy Policy.
The optional in-app purchase "AnyDoc Lifetime" unlocks Scan to PDF and Photos to PDF and removes full-screen video ads. A small banner ad remains. What it includes and its price are shown on the purchase screen in the App before you buy.
- AnyDoc Lifetime is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It never renews, and you will not be charged again for it.
- All payments are processed by Apple and charged to your Apple Account. Prices may vary by country and may change. A price change never affects a purchase you have already made.
- To restore it on a new or reset device, sign in with the same Apple Account, open Scan to PDF or Photos to PDF and tap Restore purchase.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds directly.
4. Your documents
Documents you open, create or convert with the App belong to you or to their owners. We do not receive, store or claim any rights to them. You are responsible for your documents and must have the right to open, copy, convert and share them.
You agree not to use the App to:
- Infringe copyright or other rights, for example by copying or distributing documents you have no right to share.
- Get around passwords, digital rights management or other protection on documents you are not authorised to open. The App does not remove passwords or protection; it only opens protected PDFs when you enter the correct password.
- Store, open or share content that is illegal where you live.
5. File compatibility
The App shows documents using Apple's built-in viewers (such as PDFKit and Quick Look) and its own readers. Most files look the same as in the app that created them, but some may not, for example files with unusual fonts, macros, animations, embedded media, complex formulas, password protection or damage. Files made with the App's tools, such as PDFs from photos or scans and images from PDF pages, may differ in quality from the originals. For important documents, check the result in the app that created them. The App is a reader and does not guarantee that every file will open or display correctly.
6. File management, deletion and backups
The App works on real files. Renaming, moving or deleting a file or folder in the App changes or removes the actual file, including in the Files app, where the same files appear. Deleted files may not be recoverable, and deleting the App removes its folder with all the files stored in it. You are responsible for keeping backups of documents that matter to you.
7. Archives and files from others
The App checks ZIP archives before extracting them, to block known harmful tricks. Even so, documents and archives from unknown senders can contain content you don't expect. You open them at your own risk.
8. Third-party services and software
The App uses Apple frameworks, and can open files from iCloud Drive and other storage providers that you choose. Ads and the consent form are provided by Google through the Google Mobile Ads SDK and Google's User Messaging Platform. These services are subject to their providers' own terms. The App also includes open-source software, such as ZIPFoundation (MIT License), under its own license. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under that license.
9. Trademarks
Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint are trademarks of Microsoft Corporation. Other product and file format names are trademarks of their respective owners. AnyDoc is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Microsoft or any of these owners. Their names are used only to describe the file formats the App can open.
10. Our intellectual property
The App, including its design, code, name, logo, icons and graphics, is owned by DevAppStudio and protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. These Terms do not give you any rights to our trademarks.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how the App handles information. In short: your documents stay on your device, and the ads, provided by Google AdMob, follow your tracking and consent choices.
12. Updates and availability
We may release updates to fix bugs, add or change features, or support new iOS versions. Some updates may be required to keep using the App. We may stop offering or supporting the App at any time, but this will not remove a copy you have already downloaded.
13. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent allowed by law, the App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that every file will open or display correctly. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any); Apple has no other warranty obligation regarding the App.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, DevAppStudio will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of documents, data, profits or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the App, including files that are deleted, changed or not displayed correctly. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us for the App and its in-app purchases. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold DevAppStudio harmless from claims arising from your misuse of the App or your violation of these Terms or of any law or third-party right.
16. Apple-specific terms
These Terms are between you and DevAppStudio, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, consumer protection or intellectual property claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
17. Termination
Your license ends automatically if you breach these Terms. When it ends, you must stop using the App and delete it from your devices. Before deleting it, move any documents you want to keep out of the App's folder.
18. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled by the competent courts of India, unless the consumer protection laws of your country give you the right to bring proceedings where you live.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the effective date above, and continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
20. Contact
For questions, complaints or claims about the App, contact DevAppStudio at support@devappstudio.tech or through our support page.
