How to play
How do I play?
Put one cat in every row, every column and every coloured area. Two cats can never touch, not even diagonally. Tap a cell once for ✕ (no cat here) and twice for a cat. Drag across cells to mark many at once. Tap Rules on the home screen for the full guide.
I'm stuck on a board
Tap Hint. It shows the next logical step and explains why it works. Every board has exactly one answer and can be solved without guessing.
What happens when I lose all three hearts?
A wrong cat costs a heart. After three, you can try the same board again straight away.
I find some colours hard to tell apart
Turn on the colour patterns in the game's settings. Each area then gets its own pattern as well as its colour.
Daily puzzle & progress
How does the daily puzzle streak work?
Solve today's puzzle to grow your streak. Open Calendar to play days you missed. Catch-up days count as solved, but only today's puzzle extends the streak.
Will my progress transfer to a new phone?
Progress is stored on your device and is included in your iPhone or iPad backup. Restoring a backup to a new device brings it back.
Ads, privacy & purchases
Why does Cat Nap show ads?
Ads keep the free version free. They are provided by Google AdMob. The one-time Remove Ads purchase stops them.
I bought Remove Ads but still see ads
Open Settings → Purchases → Restore purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy it. Remove Ads also works for your Family Sharing group.
How do I change my ad privacy choices?
In the UK, the EEA and Switzerland: Settings → Purchases → Ad privacy choices. Cat Nap never asks to track you. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
