The short version
- DotBloom has no account and no sign-up. Your levels, stars, coins and settings are stored on your device and in your own iCloud. We never receive them.
- DotBloom is free and shows ads from Google AdMob. Google collects some device and usage data to show and measure those ads.
- You choose whether ads can be personalised: through Apple's tracking prompt, and, in the UK, EEA and Switzerland, a consent form. You can change your choice any time in Settings → Privacy choices in the game.
- We don't sell your data, and we don't run our own analytics.
This Privacy Policy explains how Apexa Pambhar ("we", "us") handles information in the DotBloom: Connect the Dots app for iPhone and iPad (the "App") and on this website. By using the App you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
We do not collect personal data on our own servers through the App. The App has no sign-up and no servers of its own, and we don't use any analytics SDK. The App does include the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob), which collects data as described in section 5.
2. Information stored on your device
The App stores the following on your device, inside its private storage:
- Your game progress: levels cleared, stars, scores, Bloom Rush best, Daily Bloom results and streak.
- Your coins and boosters.
- Your settings: sound, haptics, colorblind shapes, and daily reminder time.
- A game in progress, so you can continue where you left off.
3. Apple services used by the App
- iCloud: if you're signed in to iCloud, your progress is synced between your devices through Apple's iCloud key-value storage. It is stored in your iCloud account, not with us.
- Game Center (optional): if you're signed in, your Daily Bloom and Bloom Rush scores are submitted to Game Center leaderboards. Other players can see your Game Center nickname and score. Apple handles this under its own terms.
- Notifications (optional): the daily reminder is a local notification scheduled on your device. No server is involved. You can turn it off in the App or in Settings → Notifications → DotBloom.
Apple processes this information under the Apple Privacy Policy.
4. Purchases
The App offers optional coin packs through the App Store. Payments are handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive your name, payment card or billing details. The App receives only a confirmation of the purchase so it can add the coins.
5. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The App shows a banner on the home screen and, occasionally, a full-screen ad between games. These ads are served by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC (Google Ireland Limited for users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland).
To serve ads, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect:
| Data | Why |
|---|---|
| Device identifiers: the Advertising Identifier (IDFA, only if you allow tracking) and the identifier for vendors (IDFV) | To show ads, limit how often you see the same ad, and measure ads |
| IP address, which can indicate approximate location (city or region) | To show ads relevant to your region and for security |
| Device and app information: model, iOS version, language, app version | To show ads that work on your device |
| Ad interactions: which ads were shown or tapped | To measure ad performance and prevent fraud |
| Diagnostics: crash and performance data of the ads SDK | To keep ads working reliably |
Personalised and non-personalised ads. Ads are personalised (based on your activity across other apps and websites) only if you agree:
- Tracking prompt. iOS asks whether DotBloom may track you. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", Google does not receive your IDFA. You can change this in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Consent form (UK, EEA, Switzerland). On first launch you see a consent form from Google's User Messaging Platform. You can accept, reject, or manage choices per purpose. You can change your choice any time in the App under Settings → Privacy choices.
Even with non-personalised ads, Google uses limited data to show ads, limit frequency, prevent fraud and produce aggregated reports. Learn more in How Google uses information from apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.
We don't receive your identifiers. We see only aggregated reports from AdMob, such as how many ads were shown.
6. Crash reports
If you have turned on Share With App Developers in iOS Settings (Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements), Apple may share anonymous crash reports and usage statistics with us. These do not identify you and we use them only to fix bugs. You can turn this off at any time.
7. This website and support emails
If you contact us by email or through a form on this website, we receive your name, email address, and whatever you choose to tell us (for example, your device model). We use this only to reply to you and to help with your request, keep it no longer than needed (normally up to 24 months), and never sell it or use it for marketing. Our web host may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security. This website sets one essential session cookie to protect forms from abuse, and uses no tracking cookies.
8. Legal basis (UK, EEA and Switzerland)
Personalised ads, and storing or reading information on your device for ads, are based on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings → Privacy choices. Non-personalised ads, fraud prevention and security are based on our and Google's legitimate interests in funding a free game and keeping ads safe. Replying to support emails is based on your request.
9. Data retention and deletion
Your game data is on your device and in your iCloud, so you control it. Use Settings → Reset progress in the App to erase progress on all devices signed in to your iCloud account, or delete the App to remove its data from your device. Google keeps advertising data according to its own policies. You can reset your ad identifier's link to past activity by denying tracking for DotBloom. To delete support emails you sent us, email us and we will delete them.
10. Security
Your App data is protected by iOS sandboxing and your device's passcode encryption, and iCloud data is protected by Apple. We follow Apple's privacy guidelines and request only the permissions the App needs.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR and UK GDPR, the CCPA/CPRA in California, or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data, to object to or withdraw consent for processing, and to complain to a data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
California. We do not sell personal information for money. When you allow personalised ads, Google's use of your data may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law. You can opt out at any time by choosing "Ask App Not to Track" in iOS Settings.
For data held by Google, use Google's privacy tools. For anything else, email support@devappstudio.tech and we will respond within 30 days.
12. Children
DotBloom is a general-audience puzzle game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when we add features. We will change the effective date above and, for significant changes, mention them in the App's release notes. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the new policy.
